The goal of this site was to attract a younger audience with a new design as well as to make it as easy to update as possible. Lots of SSI include files and CSS styles were created to prevent administrators from breaking the design and to maintain consistency site wide. In order to appeal to a younger audience I applied a brighter treatment to their existing color scheme of yellow and green, widened the layout and added more upbeat photos.

Since system wide school administrators use this site, it had to be as simple as possible to use. Working with very little text on each page and lots of graphical/iconic buttons was the challenge for this site. Icons designed had to make sense to all users and the pages had to be very straight forward with almost no scrolling, it had a step-by-step or "wizard" like feel to it. Working with feedback fromtest users who never seen the site became an integral part of its launch.

The challenge with this project was that it was very text heavy. To overcome this, I decided to design a flexible three column layout that could allow for both horizontal and vertical scaling. Balancing the colors also became an important issue as well. To create aesthetic appeal, I treated the banner area with vibrant colors and added a small motion graphics flash piece. I chose a very muted color scheme in the text heavy area to ease the users eyes from all of the text.

I decided to apply a clean, modern look to this wine bottle holder site so I would let the pictures do most of the talking. To further this, it was key to show pictures of these holders in the bars and banquet halls of the exact target audience. Since the site was going to be so picture heavy, I varied the way they were displayed to make for a more visually interesting layout. Some were masked out, some had one type of border treatment and others had another style.

| Our Lady of Victory |
 |
| June, 2008 |
Much like the Lane Tech website, the Our Lady of Victory site was in desperate need of a new design and an improved navigation. The use of include files for the navigation system was key to reduce broken links and CSS to maintain a consistent design. Since the audiences’ age group was so wide, from elementary school students to church-goers of all ages, a feature was added to give the user the ability to change the text size on the page. |
| CPS: Elementary Schools & Support |
 |
| September, 2006 |
This site serves as a parents’ portal for all things related to Elementary schools. To handle the large amount of content, a three column scalable layout was utilized. I chose to designate a different color of the spectrum for each section so the user would know which section it was in. |
| Royal Crane Inc. |
 |
| December, 2005 |
The goal of this site was to create online brand awareness to an established crane company that has been around for over twenty years. Since they already had a solid process of obtaining clients through various hard copy forms, we web enabled them online, thus cutting down the paperwork and hours spent on portion of the business. All that was left after that was to create an aesthetically pleasing interface. |
